Purchased Skagan watch model number skw6274 Hagan , which was not working phoned their customer service
Not very helpful only option was to return for refund or take to a Fossil shop for new battery no option of replacement . Call centre not very professional

I am surprised to be writing a bad…
I am surprised to be writing a bad review about a company like this, which you would not think would be the case. However reading all these reviews before me has made me realise it is not just a one off case, as I had thought, with myself just being considerably unlucky.

Their customer service is appalling. Their admin is appalling. I have spent a lot of money with this company over time, and have put up with the negative parts of their products and systems, but I have now vowed not to do so in the future because of the bad experiences I have had over the last couple of orders. Items (earrings) I purchased were not fit for purpose, customer service was non-existent in relation to those purchases. Their administration is outdated, in this respect and through no fault of mine they did not debit me for part of an order and then started sending threatening emails relating to this amount, when the items had already been returned and acknowledged by them.

What a shambles.

Horrible Response to Their Own Failed Delivery
I ordered a watch. The delivery got screwed up. Was delivered to the address after everyone left for 5 months. Even though the company's own information was that it had been left at the door where no one was going to be present for 5 months, was told I had to wait 7 business days and call back because "that is our policy." Only then would they process a refund or a new delivery. When asking to speak to a supervisor, I was told a request would be submitted and, "if approved," I would get a callback in 24 hours. So, at best, I will get my watch about a month after ordering and after three calls to customer service. And I might not get it even then, since if it is not in stock when they are finally ready to acknowledge my problem, I will be just out of luck! Horrible, horrible customer service

Battery failed in 2 months - expensive convoluted returns process
Bought Melbye Titanium in which the battery failed within a couple of months.

Fossil Group have committed to change this for free [tbc], but the convolution of the process and the cost of posting and insurance etc is simply unacceptable for something that could easily be fixed in any of their numerous bricks and mortar stores OR a free returns Amazon style service. Its just poor.

Wouldnt buy direct from them again. Simply not worth it.

Non-Existent Customer Service.
STILL waiting for a reply after weeks. Soulland X Skagen Melbye Moonphase Tan Leather Watch stated only having 13 available, there is no certificate stating the number and the reverse simply has a load of ‘X’s instead of serial numbers. The first one in black staed only 340 - my watch was #128 of 500?!! Neither watch came with the correct instructions, so no idea what the "reset" button is for.
More recently, I managed to find a strap from an online jeweller for my Skagen 324 LSLC for around £40, as it wasn’t available on your website – a local jeweller then fitted it, but the battery failed. After changing the battery the characters on the watch face have all started to come loose as per attached photo. I have NEVER had a watch do this?! Given that I’ve just paid the best part of £50 changing the strap and battery, that was a compete waste of money, as the watch is now useless!!

Nice products but terrible delivery
Products are good when you eventually get them but their delivery process is terrible - it takes a random amount of time to receive anything and you can't order for next day or fixed delivery, making it unreliable for gifts. I also had to call UPS to fix the address that Skagen's system had got wrong - it had omitted house name and village! And to cap it all, the customer service email address in the order emails doesn't exist.

Guarantee not honoured
This is the second time my 3 year-old Skagen watch has failed to show the correct time. I have a lifetime guarantee which the company refuses to honour. They claim this is wear and tear and that movement and hands are not covered. It is clearly faulty workmanship. No wonder they have changed to a 2-year guarantee. Do not buy a Skagen watch if you expect it to show the correct time or a company that honours the guarantee.

Absolute rubbish
Absolute rubbish! Placed an order and money taken out but the order did not materialise, now waiting for the refund.
As per suggestion from support team tried again to place the order and money taken out again! and order not processed! Now waiting for another refund.
JUST DON'T BUY ONLINE FROM THEM

Fossil Group Services
This review is solely about Fossil Group Services customer service, or should I say lack of. I returned my Falster 2 smartwatch in line with the instructions provided by the call handler. Returned Parcel was delivered efficiently. That is when the experience went south. Despite repeated calls and emails to the FGS team there has been no progress other than to advise the watch would be repaired under warranty and they were awaiting a part. No one would provide detail on the part required or ETA. Subsequent calls have with been met with they would contact me back or to deny I had called previously. No longer responding to emails. Shocking service and no way to escalate or complain.

AVOID Wish I’d read the reviews first AVOID
This company should be BANNED. Fossil( Uk) ltd are scammers . Don’t send out your item on time , don’t let you know if it’s been shipped . Then find it’s been delivered to a pick up point by UPS . I have no way of collecting. Then their customer services refused to help
Reported to PayPal and asked them to stop payment .
AVOID AVOID AVOID.

SHOULD BE REMOVED FROM FURTHER TRADING

Avoid their online shop at all cost!
The Fossil Group who owns Skagen should really be blacklisted as one of the least trustworthy companies there is.
I ordered two watches and a pair of earrings in December. Even though their website says 4-6 working days, I waited longer due to Christmas holidays and possible delays of deliveries between mainland Europe and the UK.
Once I emailed about the missing order, I was told it was with UPS and to contact them. However, the link in their dispatch email kept showing the items as not trackable through UPS because they were not with UPS. Eventually, I received an email telling me the items were delivered 3 weeks prior (and due to a typo I am confused whether they mean they were delivered back at their office or my house). The package does not appear to have been delivered on their tracking page so I am very confused and feel I am being lied to.
On top of all that they now asked me to write a statement explaining we did not receive the package and are prepared to co-operate with the police if asked to.
I will now await the full refund but have lost all faith in the company and the process.

Lovely earrings at a great price
Purchased some beautiful earrings at a very reasonable, discounted price. They are currently selling in John Lewis for 50% more than I paid, and the quality is much better than expected.
Dispatch was prompt but, for shipping, Skagen used UPS who were very poor: after they failed to make any reasonable attempt to deliver to my home, the package was left at a collection point, a mile from my address. Fortunately delivery was free or I would have been requesting a refund.
So, overall I was happy with my purchase and service, but loss of one star due to UPS not being fit for purpose.

Huge problem... this is not even 2 years old from new.. it relies for charging on a magnetic contact to dual concentric ring on underside... Unfortunately those dual rings are glued on with some crap which melts at normal skin surface temperature. so... the rings make imperfect contact.. and eventually create even more heat... eventually the watch no longer even charges... Complete rubbish... avoid!

The worst customer service in 20 years
The worst customer service I have experienced in 20 years of buying things online. No reply to 5+ emails. The first phone call the representative clearly didn't want to deal with anything and advised fixing a brand new watch at my own cost. He suggested returning it and they would do 'something', he then wouldn't tell me what the something was! Ended up returning it but that was only for a refund but they don't seem to have any kind of automated returns so had to phone up and give them the UPS tracking so they could initiate a return. Was also told I couldn't speak to a manager or supervisor. To top it all off it was intended as a Christmas present! Avoid the Fossil group at all costs because they have absolutely no semblance of customer service, truly a disgrace.
